She was Lost and is now Found

This painting (above left) had mysteriously disappeared.  She had a good friend (above right)... both can be seen in the Latest Work gallery.

In  the 1960s they were close and cheerful friends, so I was very sad to see them separated.

Anyway, yesterday...,

John Blight rang from The Camelford Gallery to say that he had found her in his studio.  He said she was turned shyly to the wall and he'd passed her over because she was in a relatively good frame, and therefore by implication couldn't possibly be mine, which is of course rubbish!

I have decided now though, if I have anything to do with it, that they must not be separated again, so have decided only to let them go as a pair.  Not exactly a diptych but certainly bosom pals.

They are lovely together my friend! And they are lovely. Oh, and I am quite sure that many of your paintings have nice frames... that other people have put them in. ;-) Tee Hee!

I LOVE the turbines! Love them. I think you've caught their poetry and I find the juxtaposition of nature and machines (especially such elegant ones) very satisfying. And I'm so pleased Gregory's girlfriend and her friend are reunited. Very effective pair.

Are you going to frame them together, in one frame? Between them, they have a kind of ' known humour' got at through familiarity. They are quite odd characters, but exude warmth and you want to laugh with them! Should the bottom one go on the left?

That's a very good idea. Why didn't I think of that? Then they can't be separated (other than by a messy divorce). And yes 'bottom lady' on the left.

I just don't understand it. Something bizarre is happening. Now her friend has disappeared. I've searched high and low, and she's 'nowhere'. Is it possible that they are still searching for each other because her mate is still in Camelford???
